Happy New Year weeds,

Gabs here and it’s my first post of the year here on the weeds-blog. I thought I would kick off with a challenge called: scrap your resolutions. I wanted to do a page of mine and my resolution for this year is: do Life 365! - after that came to my mind I decided to skip the resolution challenge and motivate you a little to start YOUR Life 365!

If you haven’t started do it NOW - yes, right now! Take your cam and do a shot - right now!  Look what’s in front of you, look beside, see which things inspires you and just take a shot! A photo a day only takes a few seconds! You can make it - just give it a go!!!

Join our 365 forum here and post your pic right away! Also if you need some more infos about that project, you will have everything handy in our forum! And as you may have read: Gina is coming up with some super great stuff to make it all easy to go ahead!

Okay, back to our monday challenge LOL - I wanna challenge you with: give it a go! Take your first photo right now, open your 365-blog, scrap a page about or whatever and come back and link us up!

We will randomly choose and announce a winner next monday!

Hi ladies!!

Gina here, and I just wanted to pop in to make a small announcement, but I guarantee you will want to hear this!!  Have you heard the talk of the digitown?  Project 365 has hit the cyberstreets stronger than ever with the start of a fresh new year!  I myself attempted this huge project last year on my blog, and, sadly to admit, was not able to keep up with it during the hustle and bustle of busy life.  I have been thinking why I could not keep up, where I lacked motivation — and if I attempted to do it this year, how to make it fun and easy?!!

Well, I have finally come up with what I think will be a GREAT way to make scrapping and keeping track of your Photo-A-Day memories in a wonderfully, simple way!  Even if you miss a day or two, this will make it fun and a SNAP to do so there won’t be any stress involved!! 

The key for me with this project is SIMPLICITY and recording your beloved memories and stories. I want this year ahead to be about capturing the little memories through photos and most importantly thoughts from the heart.  It isn’t always about the big events, but it is the small ones that shape our lives.  A quiet moment with a loved one, a favorite book, drinking hot chocolate, cold medicine because you are not feeling well, your children when they are sleeping, a daily routine, a favorite nature spot.   It is simply about capturing the memories that will mean the most to us in the years to come.  I want this to be a project we are going to embark on together. 

And I am creating a KIT that will be quite different than the templates and things you see out there made for Project 365…  It will help accomplish all of this, and you will LOVE it!!  It will be a starting block that we can make to show our individual style and creativity.  A toolbox for preserving the everyday memories that may not otherwise make it on to our scrap pages because we are too busy, hesitate because we want our pages fancy or perfect, or just don’t know where to start. 

Please go read HERE  and see if this sounds like a project you want to try - and remember I have a really fun way coming out SOON to help accomplish this!!  ALL you have to do, is take a picture TODAY, or write down a thought or something that makes you happy TODAY.  Then do it again tomorrow, then the next day!  Put it in a file on your computer and I will have this kit out ASAP with further instruction!  I promise it will be worth waiting for!

Hello Weedsters OK…my fun was something hybrid AND it is the day before our days have official titles- Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day!!!! OK who has time for hybrid fun this close to Christmas??? We all do for this! All you HAVE to do is get a picture of all the loved ones you share this precious time of year with…a face shot! Then when the presents are unwrapped and everyone is off doing what they love and you are settling in to scrap like you love!!! Just drop the face photos into the .png frame file, print off a sheet of the solids for the back and make some ornaments to give your tree a fresh extra smile until you take it down…then next year you can pull out these ornaments and enjoy how much everyone has changed and remembering 2008!

That is my plan and since I could not wait to get those pictures and give this to you! I took a picture of our girls much loved elves and this ornament has already become a favorite! My oldest asked if we could add that every year to remember the year our elves first came to visit us. 

Now this project can be as simple as printing the two sheets or if you want these solid with no photos, printing just the solids sheet you will see in the download, cutting out the two circles, pasting or gluing them together- you can be done! If you have a Crop-O-Dile or Big Bite and some CDs lying around you can add one more step and that is what I did here… I punched holes through the paper and the CD so I could add a ribbon tie, meant to be the hanger but that did not line up the way I had hoped and since we are keeping this fun and EASY I just went with it!!!

I hope you will give this a try and enjoy one more way to treasure the memories of this special time of year spent with those that you love!

suszanne is always doing so great with it and so she designed a super cute calendar with pat’s wonderful “wishing you the merriest”-kit, coming in two screensizes and also in two ways for the weekly beginnings. one starts with sunday and the other one with monday. so you can choose the one which is perfect for you.

how are your holiday preparations coming along? Is the tree up & decorated, the stockings hung, and the house sparkling with hundreds of lights? Do you have all your presents and are they already wrapped? While doing well on the decorating side, I have to admit, that I still don’t have all presents and none are packed as of yet. I’m still pretty cool about it now, but you should see me in two days from now, when I start to panic…
Well, incase you forgot to get someone a little something or are still in need of a present, I have for you today a 6×4 brag book. All you have to do is download, pop your pictures under it, print it, add a little journaling if you like, and tie it together with some ribbon of your choice.
