Guest CT QP Challenge – Calendar Topper Exchange!

It’s that time again, time for our seasonal Guest CT challenge! Yay! This fall, we’re having a Guest CT QP challenge!Woohoo!  Even more exciting, we’re not just having an ordinary QP exchange, we’re going to have a calendar topper exchange!

Since we’re making this a QP challenge, everyone who participates will receive a set of calendar page QPs! This set will be perfect for making 2011 calendars, which make GREAT holiday gifts. I’m so excited about this challenge because it’s going to be an awesome way to take care of a LOT of my holiday shopping all at once. Yay!

You’re welcome to participate in the QP exchange even if you don’t want to compete for the Guest CT spot. If you ARE interested in being a part of the Weeds and Wildflowers CT this fall, though, you’re in luck. We have a pair of Guest CT spots up for grabs. That’s TWO chances to become a part of our team for the season. The site CT will vote to decide one of the Guest Spot winners and the other will be randomly selected from all entrants.

Here’s how it’ll work.

*To enter, you’ll need to submit an 8.5 x 11 inch, horizontal calendar page quick page (QP). You may choose any of the twelve months– we just ask that you leave a note in the forum thread specifying what month you plan to feature. That should help to get the pages distributed across the whole year!

*You may use any of the papers and elements from Gina Marie Huff’s Sweet and Simple LIFE sets # 1 through #10 and her Sweet and Simple sets “All Hallows Eve,” “My Best Friend” and/or “Whimsy Holiday” but you may use ONLY these Sweet and Simple LIFE kits. In other words, you may use these kits and any of your digital scrapbooking program tools but NO other digital materials besides the goodies in these kits and certainly nothing that requires crediting another designer.

* make a 8.5 x 11, 300 dpi QP. We have a tutorial here. Upload a preview of the QP to our challenge gallery. You may use any combination of digital scrapbook papers and elements from the Sweet and Simple kits mentioned above and your digital scrapping program of choice.

* zip up your QP and your preview and then upload the file to the filesharing site of your choice (many people use sites like www.4shared.com and www.box.net for this).

* zip up your QP and your preview and then upload the file to the filesharing site of your choice (many people use sites like www.4shared.com and www.box.net for this).

Please name the QP file“WW_fall2010qpchallenge_YOURMONTHOFCHOICE_YOUR NAMEHERE.png”

and the folder
“WW_fall2010qpchallenge_YOURMONTHOFCHOICE_YOUR NAMEHERE.zip”

*Please Private Message (PM) me (kenandbelly) a link to your download. We’ll collate the files and send you links to download your QP album after the challenge is finished.

* All entrants must also post their previews as a reply to the thread in our forum.

*There are no restrictions as to the number of photos needed to fill in the QP.

*All entries to the Fall Guest CT QP challenge MUST be uploaded and PMed by October 24 at midnight Eastern Standard Time.

*For the Guest CT spot contest, you may submit only one QP. Failure to abide by these rules will result in disqualification from the contest and the QP exchange.

If you want to participate in the QP exchange but don’t want to be considered for the CT spot, just let us know when you PM me.

While you may only submit a single QP to the Guest CT contest, we will allow you to submit up to three pages to the QP exchange. Please do not upload any additional QPs until after the CT contest closes, however. We will give you a chance to exchange any additional QPs at that time– I’ll leave a thread open for an extra couple of days.

We will announce the Fall CT Guest Spot winners on our blog. Remember, everyone who participates will receive an set of awesome calendar QPs!

Today is Friday and we do have a great 1/2 price item for you today.  Do you have bunches of summer pictures still waiting to be scrapped?  Well this is your lucky day.  Look what is on sale-That Summer Feeling. This is a colossal kit. Enjoy.

  1. I would love to participate in the exchange! I can’t seem to find the thread in the forum where I can post the month that I want to do, though. ~blush~

  2. Just want a clarification – You want a 11 Wide and 8.5 Tall – horizontal page. Just top with month – not the calendar part?

Just want to make sure I do it right! :=)
