HELP!! I am following the tutorial but still having problems with my PSE 10.
How do you make your picture "fit" the template opening? When I try to do that, it distorts the picture?
Once you do get a picture to fit, are you suppose to be able to move the picture and still see the template grey box under it, or is the picture suppose to merge over that?

Sorry I have such simplistic questions! I haven't scrapped in over 2.5 years, and I have forgotten so much! I just bought PSE10, and am still learning!

(ps: I hope I posted this in the right place.)

:sigh

Hi!
To 'clip' your photo to the mask make sure that your photo layer is directly above the layer your want to clip it to in the layers palette. While you have the photo layer selected hold down the ctrl button and press G. This should make your picture take on the shape of the mask layer below it.

To resize your photo and keep it from looking distorted, hold down the shift key while you resize. This should keep it all looking like it is supposed to.

Let me know if that works for you :)

YES, thank you!! It worked!! It seems to me my earlier version of Elements was much easier to "get around in". Oh, maybe it's just my almost 50 brain!

Thanks so much!

What is the optimal size and resolution for posting in the gallery. I thought I tried 600x600 pixels with 300dpi, but that was too large for the forum. The ones I posted are tiny! LOL What do you use? Thanks!
