Traditions

I don’t know about you all, but things are starting to get a little crazy around my house.  While I love Christmas and everything that goes with it, I also get very stressed out at this time of year.  The traditions my family have created over the years keep me grounded.  They have evolved over time, but there are some that remain the same.  Two traditions that have survived from my childhood is that we make a cake or cookie tree and sing happy birthday to baby Jesus and then my father reads the Christmas story from the Bible.  Baking Christmas cookies every year is another tradition that I love. This year I am going to attempt to make a Christmas cookie tree.  I have tried several times before without great success.  I baked the cookies tonight and tomorrow or the next day they will get iced.
