Layout Challenge – Shadows!

Hi, all!  It’s my turn again to bring you a challenge and another opportunity to earn some Petal Points toward a $10 coupon to the shoppe!  The “restrictive” challenges that we’ve brought you in the recent past have seemed pretty fun and well received, so I thought I would give you another one.

Your challenge:  make a layout with no shadows nor shadowed elements.  Now, I want you to actually give this one some thought; I’m hoping that you don’t just throw a layout together with a simple omission of shadows.  I’m challenging you to purposefully create a design that looks great without any shadows.

Here are a few ideas that came to me when I though of design plans which would work without shadows

• Using large photos
• Using brushwork and photo masks
• Blocked designs
• Magazine/Ad inspired
• Using doodle elements

You submission must meet the following requirements:

• Create a layout with no shadows or pre-shadowed elements
• 80% WW products
• Upload to the WW Gallery
• Post image in the Challenge Thread
• Deadline is Sunday night August 15, midnight est.

You will receive a Petal Point for participating, and one will be chosen at random to receive a bonus point.  I can’t wait to see what you come up with !
